Telework is the performing of official duties remotely at an alternate worksite with limited disruption and during traditional work hours. The Middle District of Florida's Telework Plan establishes the conditions and requirements for clerk's office employees to work remotely ("telework").

There are some things to know before you’ll successfully work from home:
Submit a request to telework: Telework Agreement Form PER30 must first be signed and approved.
Submit an RCASE: Obtain approval from your supervisor or judge to remotely access judiciary resources.
Install anti-virus software on your home computer: Visit the Trend Micro Antivirus Solution for Home Use webpage for instructions on installation–or use software you purchased. Be sure to uninstall any old or outdated antivirus software applications.
Keep your computer up to date: Be sure that you are routinely updating your home computer or setting an automated schedule.
Know your office computer name: Whether using JPort or a stand-alone remote connection, you will need your computer name to connect to it.
I have a Windows home computer
Remotely connect to your office computer: You can work from home by connecting to your courthouse computer remotely.
Work from your home computer using VPN and O365 applications: By downloading, installing, and configuring the MDFL recommended VPN software application, you can work on your home computer without a JPort remote connection.
Download, install and configure the iVanti VPN software application.
Download and install O365 applications.
Launch the VPN software.
Launch any of your O365 applications to sign in using your JENIE credentials.
Save documents to your OneDrive account.
Access CM/ECF on your home computer's internet browser.
IMPORTANT: You will not have HotDocs or your office computer's customizations (signatures, macros, locally saved files) on your home computer.
I have an Apple home computer
Download and Install Ivanti Secure Access VPN for Mac.
Install and configure Microsoft Remote Desktop.
You can work two ways on your Apple Computer:
- Download and Install O365 applications from the Apple App Store on your Mac or;
- Connect to your courthouse computer using Microsoft Remote Desktop.
Launch the VPN software
Launch any of your O365 applications to sign in using your JENIE credentials.
Save documents to your OneDrive account.
Access CM/ECF on your home computer's internet browser.
